{Day 15} - What's the best compliment you've ever received
Here we are, the last day of the challenge. I have done pretty well I think and only missed a few posts. Ryan says that if I don't post something today then I am a failure. And I don't want to be a failure.
It's hard to think of a specific compliment. I guess overall it was a huge compliment when Ryan asked me to marry him. It's kind of a big deal when someone says they want to spend their life with you. You can't get more complimentary that that.
So there we have it. I pretty much completed the challenge. It's a lot of pressure to have to post so frequently, but it's not too bad when you are given the topics.

15 Day Challenge - Day 14
{Day 14} - If you were only allowed to watch one movie for the rest of your life, what movie would it be and why?
Back to the Future. But I need all three. Is that cheating? Back to the Future is a classic. It never gets boring in my opinion! All other movies have run their course but I have been watching Back to the Future for years. I knew I should marry Ryan when he already owned the trilogy on DVD when we met. Is that a reason to marry a guy or what?
Runners up include Harry Potter, probably The Prisoner of Azkaban if I had to choose just one. Or a good Disney movie, like The Fox and the Hound.

15 Day Challenge - Day 13
Quote: I used to be such a quote person. Everytime I came up with a good one, I would write it in my planner. A guy at work made fun of me because my planner just had quotes on every page. Now do you think I can think of a favourite? No of course not. So I went onto my facebook and looked at what I have as favourite quotes on there. Here are the three that I like. They might not be overly meaningful or significant or said by some philosopher or important person in history, but I like them.
But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.-- Carrie Bradshaw
The things that scare you the most are usually the most worthwhile -- unknown
I think I'd miss you even if we'd never met---The Wedding Date
Food: Cheesecake
Vacation Spot: Any vacation spot is good with me! I really loved Jamaica, but I'm all for trying a new place every time we go away. There are so many amazing destinations in the world and I want to go to them all.
Photo: This one here
It was taken at Dunn's River Falls on our honeymoon. It brings back so many great memories of our trip.
So there you have it. That was kind of a fun one!

15 Day Challenge - Day 12
{Day 12} - What are you most looking forward to in the next six months?
Christmas? Can I say that. I love Christmas.
I'm going to be lame, I don't have an event that I am looking forward to more than anything else in the next six months. We have a couple of weddings for friends and family, those should be good times. I am looking forward to our anniversary, in hopes that we come up with something fun to do.
You know what I'm looking forward to? My vacation. I'm exhausted. I just want to sit and do nothing and have nowhere to go. Cottage livin here I come.

Bathing it Up

This past weekend I attended a Bachelorette party for my friend, Michaela. We did some wine tastings, had a dinner out, and went to the bar at the Blue Mountains in Collingwood. It was a great time. On Sunday morning, we went to the Scandinave Spa, and now I am craving going back.
The Scandinave Spa is a bath spa. There is a steam room, a sauna and a couple cold pools and hot pools. You are supposed to spend 15 minutes in a heat source and then get into the cool pool to lock in the heat. Then you relax outside on one of their chairs.
It was a beautiful day and so we stayed for about three and a half hours. We did the whole rotation a number of times, trying out each of the heat sources. I may have gotten slightly sun burnt despite the fact that I did put on sunscreen.
It was uber relaxing though, and a great activity for a nice day. You are cut off from the world with no cell phone to distract you. I just want to go back with a good book. Instead I'm sitting inside at work and time is moving slowly.

15 Day Challenge - Day 9
I skipped day 8. What are you going to do about it? Nothing, that's what I thought. But I'm back for Day 9!
{Day 9} - Describe the best day of your life to date
The reception was so much fun because I knew everyone there. I hate parties, but if you know everyone then they aren't so bad. It sure keeps you busy!
And at the end of the day, we were married, and got to go home (well to the Bed and Breakfast) together. Since we didn't live together before we were married (which seems to be a rarity these days), this was really the start of our lives together. And that was very exciting.

I have 2 books: Lucky Man and Always Looking Up by Michael J Fox. I have tons of book suggestions, because I love to read, but if I had to choose an important book it would be these two. They are about Michael J Fox's life, rise to fame and then diagnosis with Parkinson's Disease. Through it all he stays optimistic. He has built a life with his wife and four children. He had some of those children after his diagnosis. It's just a great and inspiring read.

My Grandpa lived the last years of his life with Parkinson's, and although it is very different than the early onset that Michael J Fox was diagnosed with, I have still seen first hand what the disease does to a person. I think that Michael J Fox has done a great job bringing attention to the disease and raising money for finding a cure.

15 Day Challenge - Day 6
{Day 6} - What's something you've always wanted to do, but haven't. Why not?
I have always wanted to go bungee jumping. I feel like it's one of those things that would terrify me, I would be so afraid to step off the edge, but afterwards would be like, that was fantastic, lets do it again!
I haven't done it yet because I just haven't had the opportunity. I think the only place to bungee jump in Ontario is up by Ottawa, which is about 8 hours away (I think), so it just hasn't happened. I do hope that I am able to do it at some point though. The older the get the more afraid of things like this you seem to get, so I'm afraid that if I don't have the chance soon who knows if it will happen! I don't think Ryan would do it with me either.

15 Day Challenge - Day 5
{Day 5} - If you could have dinner with any five people, who would they be?
Taylor Swift - Because she seems neato. I think it would just be a nice dinner. It would be interesting to talk to her about all that she has achieved in life at such a young age.
Michael J Fox - I am fascinated by him. I read his books and just loved them. He is so positive despite all he has gone through. I think he has really brought a lot of attention to Parkinson's disease. And I'm pretty sure Back to the Future is like my favourite movie. I should go back to Day 1 and change that fun fact. I never get tired of Back to the Future.
Zach Braff & Donald Faison - aka Turk and JD. I get both of them because they go together like lamb and tuna fish. This dinner would just be for comedy purposes.
J.K. Rowling - Because I love Harry Potter. Is that reason enough?
Kate Middleton - At first I thought of Princess Diana, but then I thought, why not Kate? She fascinates the world, she is so elegant and classy. I would probably embarrass myself. But she seems pretty down to earth, maybe we could be best buds. Or maybe not.

Let's throw some more Canada in here |
So there it is. 5 people I would like to eat dinner with. It was hard to narrow it down, and obviously there are a lot more people that I wouldn't turn down dinner with! But I think that these 5 are pretty interesting and we could have some great conversations! Even better, if I could mix all of them together at a dinner party it would be the best dinner of all time.

15 Day Challenge - Day 4
{Day 4} - What is your favourite childhood memory.
It's tricky to just pick out one memory and call it your favourite. I had a pretty good childhood I guess. We camped a lot when I was younger and I would say that all of those camping trips were great memories. We are trailer campers, so we weren't exactly roughing it. But it was so nice to just get away with the family, read, sit by the fire, explore a new area.
We also went to Florida a lot when I was younger. We would camp at Disney's Fort Wilderness. I think the last time we went was my 13th birthday. They were always great trips.
Ryan and I hope to buy a trailer at some point so that we can do the same with our children. It's a great opportunity to get away from it all and spend some quality time with your family.

15 Day Challenge - Day 3
{Day 3} Tell us about an article of clothing that you are deeply attached to
Generally speaking, I don't think I really get attached to my clothes. I would say the most important piece of clothing in my wardrobe is my plain lululemon groove pants. A spark flew on them the other night at the camp fire and I had a minor panic attack. Those things cost like $100 to replace!
Pros to Lulu clothes:

Pros to Lulu clothes:
- they are comfy
- they make your butt look awesome
- they are comfy
- on fat days, they still feel great
- they are comfy
- lululemons are the track pants that you can get away with wearing all the time
- They don't allow me to wear them to work. I have a pair of pinstripe lulus that I think I could fool them with, but I haven't built up the nerve yet

15 Day Challenge - Day 1
I like any excuse to have 15 blog post topics given to me, so when I came across the 15 Day Challenge I thought I would give it a shot. Let's see if I can get 'er done!
So Day 1 is List 15 fun facts about yourself. I'm a bit slow on the get go here, but better late than never!
I always have trouble thinking up fun facts so hopefully I can come up with 15 of them.
1. I legit thought I was going to marry Adam Gregory when I was younger. (He is a Canadian country music singer). I thought this because he was Canadian instead of American so I figured my chances were way higher. After meeting him 5 times and never having him remember my name I gave up on the dream.
2. I am a huge nerd. I used to ask my teacher to give me homework in Grade 3. Who does that?
3. I went to France on an exchange in Grade 11. It was one of the most trying and fantastic experiences of my life. Maybe I will share more about it someday. But that would require hooking up my scanner to scan in pictures since it was before the days of the digital camera.
4. I have an unnatural obsession with celebrity life. I seem to think that it matters.
5. I was in a singing group in Grade 5. We wanted to be the next Spice Girls. We didn't succeed.
6. I eat raw cookie dough likes it's my job. We always sold these tubs of cookie dough as a fundraiser for skating, and most of the time I never make any of the cookies. It drives my mom nuts. But if I like it better raw, why would I cook them?
7. I'm definitely an introvert. But once you get to know me I might not shut up.
8. I am a homebody. My idea of a good Saturday night is if Ryan goes out with his friends and I am left to my own devices. It's ok if he stays with me too, I just don't get to watch a chick flick then.
9. I can't decide whether I love the Real Housewives because I want to be them, I'm glad I'm not them, or a combination of both.
10. I am working towards my CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation. School seems to be neverending. I question most days whether I will ever actually be done.
11. I would really love to have twins. 2 babies, one pregnancy. I think so. Plus then I can talk Ryan into 3 babies when he only wants 2.
12. My favourite movies (currently) are The Wedding Date and Because I Said So. I don't know what it is about them, but I can just watch them over and over.
13. My dream is to go to Harry Potter land. And I want to buy The Harry Potter Snuggie and The Magic Wand remote. I told you I was a nerd.
14. I had a miduniversity crisis and applied to be a flight attendant. I didn't get the job.
15. I love to bake. But my creations don't always turn out well.
I did it! So proud of myself. Hopefully I can keep it up for the next 15 days!
