It started on Saturday when we went to Ryan's parent's house for dinner. Chicken lasagna and cheesecake for dessert. I left my camera in the car, so I have no pictures from this event.
Sunday night we went to my parent's and had ham, scalloped potatoes and a raspberry white chocolate cake. Food is definitely the way to this girl's heart.

Pipsi and Oliver got me a new ceramic owl. I had one before, it lived in the china cabinet and I loved it. One day, I decided that it needed to be in a more prominent location in my house, so I set it next to the TV. Later that day I was vacuuming, Pipsi freaked out and tried to hide behind the TV and she knocked it over. Ryan was afraid for her life. The new owl will have to find a safe home.
The grand finale was my actual birthday. We went to The Keg for dinner. I requested that Ryan not get me a gift, and instead we just go for dinner and I wouldn't worry about what the meal would cost. So that's what we did. I even ordered wine! And oh the steak, it was so delicious! He didn't fully listen, because he still got me the first 3 seasons of Scrubs on DVD. I will let it go this time though, because I really wanted those DVDs!
Everything about my birthday was perfect. Low key, not too much fuss, just good food and time with family.
Happy late birthday! I think food is the best part of all holidays so I make my birthday last as long as possible as well. I watched all the seasons of Scrubs on Netflix last year and it was totally worth it!
