A Stay At Home Whatever

On Monday, I took the day off because I had a dentist appointment and didn't really plan on doing much.  I've said it before and I will say it now, I would make a great kept woman!

Don't get me wrong, I do like to work and ensure that I'm using my degree and my brain to some extent, but I feel like I could keep doing that at home.

If I didn't have to work, I would find more hobbies.  Maybe I would get into photography a bit more.  I could pick up a few side bookkeeping jobs to keep me busy.  Or, I could volunteer somewhere.  I could learn how to sew and sell stuff on Etsy.  Even better, I could fulfill my dream of working at Starbucks.

I probably still wouldn't garden....
Every day I would be able to have Ryan's lunch ready when he comes home.  He loves it when I'm home for that reason.  And I could also cook dinner.  I hate cooking dinner when I have just driven an hour and have to figure out what to eat.  But the other night, I made the most delicious Chicken Lasagna because I had time.

I hate to clean, but if I was at home, I would clean more.  I make no promises once there are kids involved though because I feel they will keep me busy.

I would fill my day by blogging and working out.  I would probably even get a gym membership, meet some people and we could go for coffee after classes.
Me and Pips would hang out all day
I wonder how quickly I would get bored of this?  I feel like never....

  1. I hear you! There are times I wish I could just stay at home and I'd be much more productive with things. But I think I'd get bored after a while and miss the routine of a full time job.

  2. Ah this sounds pretty awesome to me. While I enjoy my job, with a baby coming into the picture in a few months, staying at home sounds so much more appealing now than it used to!
